FAQ
The practical answers before you connect your inbox.
What LifeOS can do today, what it will not do without permission, and how your data is handled.
- What is LifeOS?
- LifeOS is an autonomous morning brief. It reads your Gmail and Google Calendar overnight and sends one private link with what mattered, what it handled for you, and the few decisions only you can make.
- Do I need a Gmail account?
- During beta, yes. LifeOS connects through Google, so Gmail and Google Calendar are required for the full product. Support for Outlook, school, and other email providers is on the roadmap.
- What is in scope for the brief?
- The beta focuses on recent email, calendar context, draft replies, routine archiving, and decisions that need your judgment. It does not send messages, accept invites, or take irreversible actions without your approval.
- How is my data used?
- LifeOS uses your connected data only to operate your brief, Ask, and draft workflows. We do not sell your data or train models on your inbox. Tokens are encrypted at rest, and cached Google-derived data is purged automatically.
- Can I receive the brief by text and email?
- Text delivery is live today. Settings now supports a text-plus-email preference so users can choose both, and email delivery will be enabled once the transactional email provider is connected.
- Can I skip empty briefings?
- Yes. In Settings, turn on Only send when there are meaningful updates. LifeOS will still generate the brief internally, but it will skip delivery when nothing actionable or noteworthy changed.
- Is there a forward-looking week view?
- The current product is morning-first, but an upcoming-week summary is planned for Sunday night and Monday morning planning.
- How much does LifeOS cost?
- LifeOS is free during the capped public beta. After the beta, paid plans will be introduced with advance notice before anything changes.
- Do I need to install an app?
- No. LifeOS sends one link when your brief is ready. There is no app to install, no dashboard to monitor, and no new inbox to check.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. You can export everything and delete your account in Settings at any time.
